February 19th meeting minutes
present: Jill, Lloyd, Hodg, Steve, Rickey, Amy, Pete M. (left early)
things we talked about:
-we don't want to be surrounded by condos in 5-10 years...we talked a good bit about gentrification on the west side, and the pros and cons of moving into an area that is currently experiencing a surge in population, wanting to avoid being a gentrifying force wherever we go.
-we want to be accepted by the communitiy that we move into.
-we talked about ethnic/cultural makeup of neighborhoods: it'd be nice to be in an area with a variety of groups of people.

logistics working group page
The logistics group was organized to work on issues relating to legal, accounting and business matters. How can we legally go about doing what we wish to do? What sort of federal, state, and local laws would apply? How can we internalize these legal requirements in our by-laws, in other documents, and in practice while staying true to our many other goals?

co-op name?
we need a name. mostly for paperwork reasons (corporate status), but also to be able to refer to this project with some distinction (instead of just "co-op"). click on "Add new comment" and let's start making a list in the comments section. or bring it to the meeting. Does this change show?
workers' coop
let's have a meeting very soon... maybe immediatly before or after the monday, 19 february meeting. contact nico with days/times you are available.
THE IDEA:
