Is there still a pressing need for a name?
Do we need to LLC immediately or do we have time?
Has our time frame changed since we found a possible space?
The answer was generally yes, we still need to pick a name and incorporate.
2) Chicago Community Loan Fund workshop “Project Readiness” (Jill/Nico to fill this in more)
Report:Meeting with Mark Fick, the Loan Officer of CCLF, also member of Stone Soup
Lady who knows a lot about money for housing development
Richard Avery, Architect interested in scouting for buildings, probono
Cakes, coffee, and juices available for attendees.
3) NASCO: guy coming in on March 19th /20th, probably during day, can meet and talk to us.

Security Deposit: 1 monthHow many people would live there?questions for owner/mgmt:- length of lease? ok with more than four ppl?- can LLC rent? change the lease after-the-fact?- security deposit?- toxicity/asbestos testing: has been done/will be done?
- building projects: will they pay? [room partitions (lumber & drywall); new floor (materials needed); add electrical, cat5 (materials needed); can we remove cages?]
- 4 floor vents(holes to 2nd floor): need permanent covers.
- kitchen appliances, laundry: who buys?
5) LLC debate
No reasons among us to not form LLC.NASCO Jim is curious why we want to form an LLC.Nico will contact Jim this week to discuss business/organization issues.Questions for Jim: board of directors, LLC

create front page (Contact Info, Vision/mission, Super Tags)

8) What next?
Working groups, in order of importance for the next two weeks:
- funding – money, grants (jill, ricky, cassandra)
- logistics – business, legal (dylan, nico)
- space – the final frontier. housing, work space, talking to owners (micah, nico, hodg)
- community relations – networking with neighborhoods, active community members, NFP, other co-ops, churches, etc. (jill, lloyd, micah)
- black hole – website, managing information, archiving (lloyd, nico)
people responsibilities:
- nico will email NASCO Jim.
- jill will contact CCLF Mark and keep meeting awesome people.
- lloyd will adjust website and be excellent.
- nico and dylan will begin paperwork for LLC, to be ready to proceed if/when we need to.
next meeting: regular co-op meeting on sunday, march 19 at 4pm.
