On March 29th Thursday, at the 7pm Waters School (near Montrose and the River) Beyond Today (a neighborhood organization) will be hosting the following presentation...a good chance to meet Mark Fick (of CCLF and Stone Soup Coop) if you won't be able to attend the meeting that we'll be having with him in early April (time and date yet to be determined):

"Rents going up are forcing school families to relocate. Beyond Today has partnered with the Parent Project at Water’s Elementary school to investigate issues facing the community. Our collaboration has lead to this workshop where we will learn about how communities can pool money and purcase property to maintain affordable housing in the neighborhood. Come hear Mark Fick, of the Chicago Community Loan Fund speak about forming housing cooperatives and other ways we can help keed the neighborhood and school community together. Water’s School is at the corner of Campbell and Sunnyside. We will meet in the school fieldhouse, which is the beautiful, colorfully painted building in the garden. See you then!"
